Nave and chancel C14.

Architectural Features

No tower: it is conjectured that a C12 crossing tower existed by what remains of the base between the chancel and nave C19 south porch.

To the north wall of the chancel there is at the east end a blocked C12 window at high level which is said to be a remaining tower window.

Below this is a partially bricked up doorway with a rectilinear window possibly C16.

Inside the nave the C12 base of the tower can be seen in the form of west and east arches, both decorated towards the west, the former with one order of colonnettes and one zig zag and the latter one similar but with 2 zig zags.

Font C15 octagonal with lions at stem and the 4 evangelist symbols and 4 flowers to the sides of the bowl.

2 piscinas to south wall of chancel, C14 and C15, the C14 one flanked by a dropped window cill sedilia.

A brass of two headless figures c.1420 said to represent John de Staverton and his wife.

A C15 or C16 key, the wards of the head forming the letters IKE.
