Holy Trinity church > [[723942]] dates from the 12th century, with the tower having been added during the 13th century. Greatly restored in 1854 and 1886, the interior is a combination of new and old: there are a few old carved poppyheads affixed onto the Victorian pews in the choir > [[723947]]. The octagonal font (seen here) dates from the 14th century, its wooden cover was made in 1964. Fragments of old glass are inserted high up in the tracery of one of the south windows in the chancel > [[723952]]; the east window was designed by Edward Framton and inserted in 1896 >[[723956]]. The south aisle east window shows some influence of the Arts & Crafts style: it depicts St Francis, preaching to the birds > [[723958]]. The north aisle windows are by G. Maile of London and the easternmost window was made by Harry Stammers in 1959 > [[723961]]. There are several stained glass roundels inserted in the west windows > [[723964]]. The church is open every day. For more information see: http://www.norfolkchurches.co.uk/westrunton/westrunton.htm
