Architectural Features

Squared limestone rubble, stone coped slate roofs, with decorative ridge tiles.

The north aisle west window is C19 of 2 lights, the head is a reused early C13 incised sepulchra lslab with sword and cross.

The inner doorway is early C13 with moulded head and hood, floriate label stops and angle shafts with annular capitals and bases.

The 3 bay nave arcades are early C13.

The south arcade has similar but keeled piers, keeled abaci and 4 centred double chamfered arches perhaps reset C15.

The tower arch is C13 with octagonal corbels with foliate terminals and a triple chamfered arch.

The C13 chancel arch is double chamfered with annular human head corbels.

In the south aisle is a C13 trefoil headed piscina.

In the chancel on the north side is a C13 single chamfered doorway to vestry with C19 shouldered rear arch.

All fittings are C19 apart from the font, the upper parts of which are of late C12 enriched with thin intersecting arcades and crosses fleury which was curiously conjoined with a slightly battered and woodenly decorated base in C19.

All windows have C19 stained glass.
