Architectural Features

C16 gabled north porch, timber framed with some brick.

Tall chamfered tower arch of C13.

St Andrew's church > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1708439 was greatly restored in Victorian times and the only medieval survival is the C14 traceried octagonal font. The royal arms > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1708484 has been overpainted and is believed to have originally been for Charles I. The east window is by William Wailes.  Outside, the C16 wood-framed porch > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1708455 with carved spandrels is still standing on the north wall. The church houses an interesting monument commemorating Prince Frederick Victor Duleep Singh > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1708470.

Octagonal C14 font with stem and bowl decorated with blind tracery panels in form of encircled quatrefoils, shields, incised panels including 6-pointed star.
