1500 0UNDLE ROAD (South Side) Church of St Augustine TL 1897 7/6 7.2.52.

The West tower has a recess on the West side where Anglo-Saxon masonry is exposed, with a small double splayed window.

Rest of tower and church rebuilt in 1844, 1884 and 1096, but the Norman twin bell openings with thick roll mouldings and frieze below are original.
