St Michael's church http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1342904 has been built into a hill beside Yarmouth Road. The round tower dates from the 12th century but after a Victorian restoration, the rebuilding of the chancel and the addition of a north transept in 1864 not many original features remain. The porch is medieval as is the baptismal font. pulpit and benches date from the 19th century and the unusual east window > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1971164 - by Leonard Walter - was installed in the 20th century.
