Some C13 work may survive in the nave

Architectural Features

The reused S. doorway is of C13 date

Most of the surviving mediaeval work is C14

The three bay N. arcade and N. aisle were constructed in the C15

The C14 chancel was altered and given a steeply pitched slate roof

The C15 S. transept was remodelled but still retains its C15 windows and statue niches

The Church is full of Jacobean carved panelling collected by local landowner Thomas Abbott Green c.1870

He bought up all the locally available carved timberwork and also collected some Flemish work
