The masonry is clearly medieval but no details survive.
Medieval masonry used to rebuild this little church in 1744, an inscription reads "QUEEN ANN'S Bounty fell to this CHURCH IN MDCCXLIX", later restored by Hodgson Fowler in 1889.
Over the west door is a tablet inscribed "Queen Ann's bounty fell to this church in MDCCXLIX." There is a plain memorial tablet in the chancel to Major Gen. Bincliffe d. 1809.
