Early C10 origins but fabric mainly C12 - C16 with many building phases and alterations.

Architectural Features

South porch contains C13 pointed door with roll-moulded arch carried on responds with stiff-leaf capitals.

Blocked C12 round-arched south arcade now contains square-headed 2-light Perpendicular windows.

To north: C13 pointed doorway in chamfered surround.

Blocked pointed arcade now contains C14 2-light windows with quatrefoil tracery, probably re-set from original position in north wall of arcade.

Interior: blocked doorway in south-east corner of nave re-uses C12 zigzag and Saxon capitals.

Total excavation of the church has revealed evidence of an original Saxon church on the site.
