C12 origins, C13, C14 and C15

Architectural Features

Rubble walls, mixture of cobbles and ironstone with some fragments of C12 masonry

N elevation has blocked C12 round-arched light, blocked 4-centred arched doorway, and head of small pointed light, apparently reset

C14 pointed lowside window with transom to NW

C14 pointed chancel arch

Nave: C12 origins

3-bay arcades on octagonal columns to both sides, S one earlier C13, N one later C13

Early C15 clerestory has 3 windows to each side, all of 2 lights witn 4- centred arched heads

N aisle: late C13

S aisle: earlier C13

Pointed-arched S doorway retains C13 jambs and carved capitals, shafts removed

W tower: C15

Nave has C15 roof with moulded timbers

C15 font in S aisle, octagonal bowl and stem with carved quatrefoil panels

Nave floor has slab with indents for figure under crocketed canopy and for 5 shields

N aisle E window contains a few fragments of medieval glass
