Architectural Features

Lean-to roof with ashlar parapets and 3 gargoyles

South nave clerestory of 4-window range of 2-light square-head windows with hood moulds and carved label stops

Shallow gable roof with plain ashlar parapets, corbel table, 3 gargoyles and finial

Late C13 west tower of 2 stages with 3-stage angle buttresses at corners

Tall lancet window above has carved label stops

3 carved heads to spandrels of arches and remains of relieving arch above arcade with 4 holes for acoustic jars

Blocked doorway to right of arcade originally led to chantry chapel/vestry, demolished in C16

C19 furnishings, font and pulpit

Perpendicular style painted screen around vestry in north aisle is said to incorporate parts of rood screen

Stained glass: east window of south aisle has 3 mid Cl6 roundels depicting biblical scenes and 2 mid C17 rectangular panels depicting saints. (Buildings of England: Northamptonshire, p.183).
