Late C15 tower.

Architectural Features

Parapet gabled north porch at west end of aisle, moulded pointed arched doorway with jamb shafts, hoodmould with carved stops, alternating ashlar and tufa voussoirs.

All gables coped with carved saddle stones and cross finials.

Moulded Tudor arched west doorway with carved spandrels, hoodmould with square carved stops.

Carved gargoyles to parapet, 2 to each side.

Moulded chancel arch supported on leaf-carved corbels.

Circular timber pulpit has panelling in curious frame, bracketed stone base.

Fine Baroque monument in tower with scrolled pediment, putti, death's head and surmounting escutcheon.

Inscribed to Mrs HEVENINGHAM BRIDGEMAN, wife of GEORGE BRIDGEMAN, died 1673.

Reset memorial tablet to William Bridgeman, died 1696, has scrolled pediment top and escutcheon, mounted to left of tower arch.

Windows have Teulon's characteristic caming, yellow glass with clear glass margins.

One stained glass window, 1862 possibly by Powell.
