Architectural Features

Aisleless nave and chancel of the Norman period, with a south porch and bell turret

The chancel has on the north side 2 old windows and on the south one old and a recent lancet, a pillared piscina and the remains of mid C14 wall paintings

The narrow chancel arch is round-headed and rests on abaci, with a squint on each side and fragments of wall painting above (including the central part of a Royal Coat of Arms). The nave windows, fragments of wall paintings and 3 consecration crosses, the low walling being boarded

at the west end are raised galleries, with balusters and panelling, one marked for the Earl of Portsmouth (the other being for the Rector). There is a tub font and a C18 panelled pulpit

The roofing is of tile, with a boarded bell turret at the west end

The windows are small Norman lights in the chancel, and C19 in the nave (with cusped lancets on the south side). The south porch is a gabled brick structure, with a pointed arch, and 2 bricks are incised ROH and 1694.
