Ragstone with some early materials, tiles and tufa, re-used in chancel.
Norman windows to north and south (blocked).
To be found on the north side of the tower, and of archaeological interest as evidence of the tower's antiquity. The window is said to be early Norman, and looks (to me) not unlike Saxon work. There are - I believe - traces of a larger Norman window on the west side of the tower. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5556542
