C12 core, altered and enlarged during late C12 or early C13

Architectural Features

C14, south porch added late in C15 or early C16, the west tower was rebuilt in 1812 and further restoration and additions in 1824, 1854, 1862, 1879 - 80 and 1894.

The north aisle retains one C14 window of two trefoiled ogee-headed lights, and to the west a lancet window of c1200.

Chancel: C14 window of two trefoil-headed lights and similar C19 window to left of C19 chancel doorway.

C14 five-bay south arcade with pointed arches of two chamfered orders, octagonal piers, moulded bases and capitals.

Fittings: C14 rood screen, largely restored during C17 and C19

C14 piscina in rood loft, plain C17 panelled octagonal pulpit.

C12 font has unusual base with figures in niches, lead bowl with vine ornament.

C19 carved wooded reredos with figures of church fathers in niches.

Monuments: Milbourne memorial, chest tomb with effigies c1440, alabaster, male figure in armour, female figure in court dress, weepers to sides.

Robert Masters memorial, brass, 1619, with shield of arms and globe: "Here lyeth the body of ROBERT MASTERS gent, late Lord of this manour who traveiled wth THOMAS CANDISH ESQr to Virginia and afterward aboute the globe of ye whole worlde and after his returne marryed Winifred ye daughter of Thoms Cornwall of Bucklane gent by whom he hath 2 sones and 7 daughters, he departed this life 3 of June Ao 1619".
