C15 with C13 circular west tower

Architectural Features

some C12 remains.

Tower arch of circa 1240 is 2 centred, of 2 chamfered orders.

C15 west doorway with 2 centred head.

C15 nave, has north arcade with 2 centred arches of 2 hollow chamfered orders.

C15 clerestorey with 3 original windows of 2 cinquefoiled lights under a 4 centred head.

C15 doorway to rood stair, with 2 centred arch.

C15 north aisle has C19 windows,

re-set C12 north doorway, of 3 moulded orders, with enriched chevron ornament, moulded and carved label.

Inner arch has attached columns with carved capitals.

C15 north chapel, has 2 original north windows each of one cinquefoiled light with a square traceried head.

C15 west arch is 2 centred.

C19 chancel, entered by C15 chancel arch.

Brasses, Saltonstall monuments, remain internally. (RCHM 1).
