Parish church, Largely restored or rebuilt 1873 by C. R, Chorley (Pevsner) but with some late Medieval fabric, Sandstone ashlar, slate roofs (except porch), West tower, nave with north and south aisles, chancel.

Architectural Features

Four-bay, south aisle has gabled porch to 2nd bay protecting a late-medieval moulded inner doorway with massive studded double-layer oak door

late medieval coffered nave ceiling of massive moulded beams with carved bosses

font dated 1662: octagonal bowl on fluted pedestal, the panels lettered in relief:- R:W N:W C:R R:W R:B R:S R:H I:I Vicarus 1662 T:R Wrothwell Restored 17 octagonal spire-shaped font cover, with carved openwork panels

at west end of north aisle a marble monument with effigies, to Mary Anne Faviel, 1942 by" J. Towne, Sculpt.
