Architectural Features

north aisle, early C14 south aisle, porch, transepts, tower

spire, and C15, C18 and C19 additions and alterations including alterations to chancel and addition of north vestry.

Magnesian limestone rubble and ashlar with red plain tile, grey slate and stone slate roof.

Within, an C18 fielded panel, pointed double door in double-chamfered surround with roll moulding to head under hoodmould and with worn medieval prayer carved on right jamb.

Rood screen, painted arch braced roof to nave, and chancel roof with traceried panels above tie-beams, all c1895 by Bodley.

Monuments include late C13 reclining effigy of a cross-legged knight in south aisle, thought to be Adam de Newmarch d1287, stone coat of arms above.

Neo-classical wall monument to Frances Harvey Stanhope d1794, another by R Blore of Piccadilly to Elizabeth Harvey d1824, Organ by August Gern.

Early C17 Spanish tiled wall hanging of the Last Supper brought in the late C19.

Stained glass by Kempe to south aisle east window and north aisle north window.
