An immense canopied tomb-monument of the Bassett family of Blore Hall, which defied all attempts to photograph it in its entirety. It contains the alabaster effigies of William Bassett (†1601), together with his wife Elizabeth (†1640), and son-in-law Henry Howard (†1616), with two kneeling daughters at their heads. [[4461634]]
