Late C11/early C12, C13 and C14, Georgian top stage to tower: much restored and rebuilt 1876 by T.H. Wyatt

Architectural Features

gabled C19 tile roof with red ridge tiles

Late C13 three-light to left of similar mid C19 east windows, flanked by offset buttresses

South wall of chancel. has 2 early C14 Y-tracery windows and pointed chamfered blocked doorway, and C16 one-light window: north wall of chancel has 2 similar C19 windows

North transept has early C19 early-C14-style windows: south transept has early C14 two-light south window and mid C19 two-light C15-style east window and lateral stack

North wall of nave has C13 trefoiled lancets flanking C13 pointed double-chamfered doorway, and C19 trefoiled lancet at west end: south wall of nave has C13 trefoiled lancet, C15 two-light window and late C13 double-chamfered doorway to mid C19 door: mid C19 porch with jamb shafts to pointed moulded doorway: C15 two-light window and C19 trefoiled lancet at west end of nave

Mid C19 stair turret adjoins tower which has late C11/early C12 paired lancet over C14 lancet to north

west wall has C12 round-headed lancet, C13 trefoiled lancets and late C11/early C12 tympanum of figure-of-eight interlace under a roll hood and above C13 trefoiled lancet

Interior: chancel has early C18 monument to Chamberlain family, set in Corinthian aedicule

fine carved swags of c.1700 flanking Royal Arms and mid C19 roof

South transept has C14 piscina, brass of Richard Chamberleyn (d.1493) and wife, C17 wood carving of the Sacrifice of Isaac

wall monument of Robert Chamberlain d.1602, of black slate inscription set in white marble surround with strapwork and black bosses

Nave has C13 font with C18 cover, and mid C19 roof and fittings

C13 three-bay arcades have unchamfered arches on octagonal piers to north and chamfered arches on round and octagonal piers to south, West wall of tower has late C11/early C12 lintel with star-in-square pattern
