Church C12, C13, C14

Architectural Features

Tower: C12.

C15 clerestory has two 2-cusped-light flat-arched windows.

East window C15, of 4 lights with rectilinear tracery and hood-mould.

Interior: 3-bay north arcade, C13, has round piers with stiff leaf capitals carrying round arches with one roll and one chamfer each.

3-bay south arcade, C14, one capital with oak leaf motif.

C13 piscina.

In the south wall of the nave a C13 medallion with an animal.

3 stalls in chancel, of 1519, have carved bench ends, poppy heads, small beasts standing on detached shafts, dated 'MD 19'.

Communion rail includes tracery of the former rood screen.

A good brass of c1530 to John Watson and wife.
