Church of St Mary - II Parish church, mid-C14 building in flint rubble with mid-C15 west tower of three stages, embattled parapet and small spire

Architectural Features

The north and south doorsways are original, and the south door has some good C14 tracery

Among those which remain are part of the chancel screen incorporated in the modern tower screen, an unusual C13 black marble slab in tomb recess with foliated cross and symbols of the Four Evangelists in high relief, and an early C17 brass of the two wives of Francis Rowley.
