Early C12 origin with C13 north-east Bradfield Chapel

Architectural Features

C15 alterations

C12 round-headed doorway and single C13 lancet to nave north side

C19 gabled south porch with reused C13 shafts and capitals

Nave has 3-bay C12 arcades: north with circular piers, trumpet and scallop capitals and round-headed arches, the south with pointed-headed arches

Open rafter roof to nave, C19 barrel vault to chancel which has 2- bay north arcade of C13 circular piers and pointed-headed arches giving onto the Bradfield Chapel

C15 timber roof to north aisle, C19 rafter roof to south aisle

Nave has C15 pew ends

early C17 panelled pulpit and on south wall a C16 chasuble

Rood screen rebuilt in 1917 incorporating C15 sections

Bradfield Chapel has fine wall monument of 1616 to Simon James: chest with fluted Ionic columns

North aisle has several wall monuments (early C17 - early C19)

C17 Flemish wood panel fronting organ depicting the Sacrifice of Isaac and a painting of the Virgin and Child

Fine early C20 stained glass east window in chancel

late C19 glass to chancel south window.
