Architectural Features

Brick lancets to ringing chamber below late C14 octagonal belfry stage Belfry windows of 2 lights with mouchettes below square hoods on labels.

C14 timber door of overlapping wave and hollow moulded planks.

Late C12 north door with chamfered jambs and arch on square imposts.

The round tower church of All Saints > [[720070]] houses a number of interesting medieval survivals. A medieval font (seen here); the original 12th century north door, the so-called "Paston door" > [[720107]]; a rood screen with elaborately carved tracery, depicting six apostles on its panels > [[720075]]. There are wall paintings dating from the 14th century depicting scenes from the Seven Works of Mercy > [[720087]] and a St Christopher > [[720082]]. The Elizabethan reading desk dates from 1587. Mid C14 chancel screen of 4 bays right and left of ogee opening, the dado divided into 3 bays each with a painted saint below painted tracery arch (Saints from left to right : St. Bartholemew, St. Andrew, St. Peter, St. Paul, St. Barbara, St. James).

Panelled reading desk dated 1587.

Panelled pulpit dated 1632 with scrolled brackets rising from octagonal stem.

11 C16 poppyhead bench ends remain.
