Circular tower, C12 or earlier, although the narrower upper part may be a later rebuilding

Architectural Features

Nave with C12 core: to the south one C18 cross window with square leaded panes

one good early C16 3- light brick window, both square-headed

to the north is a blocked C12 doorway and a renewed broad lancet window with Y tracery.

Simple gabled porch, probably C16 but much restored

good C13 nave doorway with original door.

Early C16 south chapel, built with material from Bruisyard nunnery: blocked 3- light windows to east and west, 3-light south window with missing tracery

C15 arched-braced nave roof of 6 bays, with further arched bracing along the ridge supported by angels either side of the collars.

early C17 turned altar rails, now beneath chancel arch

some C15 poppyhead bench ends in chancel

Early C17 screen to south chapel with closed panelling and upper balustrading

within the chapel is an effigy brass to Michael Hare and his 2 wives, the central figure missing.

Graded I for surviving medieval work.
